Harry Redknapp has hailed the style of the Swans after his side beat them 3-1 at White Hart Lane yesterday
Redknapp said: “I’m a big fan of his. I think he is fantastic. Not just now, young Frank [Lampard] worked with him at Chelsea and spoke so highly of him.
“Frank [Lampard] Senior worked with him at Watford and then went to Reading with him and he used to tell me how good he was. He is spot on I think, you have got to look at the way he has got them playing. I think it is fantastic, I really do.
“I can’t speak highly enough of the job he has done there,” he said. “He has got players playing that have come from Torquay, they have come from Stockport County, they have come from everywhere. They play, they pass the ball and they take risks on the ball.
“You look at their record this year and the way they have played and the way they have gone about playing. If we could get youth teams playing that way I think the game would be a much better game and we would produce better technical players.
“It was a wonderful game and for a team that has just been promoted up from the Championship to come here and actually play how these players have played is fantastic it and I’m proud of them.
“These are players that were told they weren’t big enough and tall enough and strong enough and have played in League Two and League One and they have come here and shown they can play football.
“We have people talking about European football, the overall objective for us is to stay in this league and if we can consolidate that in the next number of games it’ll be a monumental effort by the players and that is our only aim.”
