Michel Vorm looks like he is planning to stay at Swansea as he enters the best years of his career
Vorm will end is first season at Swansea against Liverpool on Sunday with a trophy cabinet bursting after he picked up away player, player’s player and the supporter’s player of the year award at the end of season awards on Thursday.
Vorm said: “I like it here very, very much. I know I am No. 1 here and we play the best football in the league.
“There are not many better places I could go, especially with the way we play football.
“It suits me very well and we have the best manager so it would be very hard for me to leave the club.
“There is no point me being a No. 2 somewhere else.
“I’m 29 in October and my best years are just starting.
“After 37 games in the Premier League I feel I have proved my worth so why should I go and sit on the bench somewhere?
“That’s not for me. Maybe last season it would have been different, but things are different now.”
