This week’s Wales on Sunday is reporting that Angel Rangel could soon be called up to represent Wales
Rangel is just weeks away from being eligible to appear for a home nation and Wales boss Chris Coleman has his eye on the Swansea man.
“He is a possibility. He’s a good full-back playing in the Premier League,” Coleman told Wales on Sunday.
“I haven’t had too many deep conversations about the situation, but it is one to have down the line.
“It’s been spoken about with other players and I don’t want us to become a laughing stock,” said Coleman.
“I don’t want to water down the Welsh lads who are born and bred in Wales and love playing for the country.
“ I know what it means and I’ve had a few conversations with Brendan Rodgers at Swansea about the situation.
“It’s not like we are struggling in the full-back area.
“But you can never have enough good players.”
