Danny Graham says the squad is as excited for their second season in the Premier League as they were for their first
Graham told the Western Mail “The tour’s been very beneficial,” said Graham. “We’ve all worked very hard and it’s been a great trip.
“Our first game in Denver game was very hard because it was at altitude and for a lot of the boys it was our first 45 minutes of pre-season.
“But if you look at that compared to our final game you can see a big improvement.
“It’s going to be good to get home in front of our own fans for the next two games and hopefully get two positive results before QPR.
“We are building up nicely towards QPR, it’s our second season in the Premier League but we are just as excited as our first.”
Graham scored in their final match of the tour – a 2-2 draw with San Jose Earthquakes and added
“We were a lot more compact and passed it better in this game and that helped us create more chances.
“We need to take that back home and into the friendlies. As a striker you need to get in a position to anticipate things and I was able to collect the back pass, touch it around the keeper and score.
“It was nice to get the goal and I need to continue to work hard.
“It’s disappointing to concede the two late goals at the end, but the most important thing to come out of the game was match sharpness, that’s why we came out to America.”
