Moyes – We Played Really Well

David Moyes says his side played really well from the first minute in their win at the Liberty Stadium

“I was delighted with the result and the performance because they matched each other,” said Moyes.

“We played really well from the opening minutes right to the end.

“And we should have scored more with the amount of ball and opportunities we had; we were a bit wasteful in the final third and we needed our goalkeeper to make a few crucial saves – but the result was correct.”

When asked whether Fellaini had handled, Moyes said: “I didn’t think he did, no. But somebody did say to me we might have had the luck we didn’t have against Newcastle, but it’s not luck. If the referee got it wrong he got it wrong and I wouldn’t have said it was luck we won the game.

“We continued where we left off against Newcastle and perhaps we should be sitting here with more points than we have.

“But it’s nice to be up there with the big boys and it’s great for the fans because we’ve not had the chance to hear (those chants) often. We often finish strong but the one season we started strongly we finished in the Champions League positions and we have to try and do that if we can.

“We will probably finish where most people predicted but we will try and do better.

“We can be pleased. Swansea have scored a lot of goals and it took our keeper to make some key saves but the result was probably correct.”
