“We Deserved At Least A Point”

Michael Laudrup said his side deserved at least a point after they were beaten at Man City

โ€œI am never satisfied when we lose, but there are lots of positives to take from that,โ€ said Laudrup.

โ€œWe can look forward to what is going to be a big week for us. If we play like that, there will definitely be something for us in the next two games.โ€

โ€œI thought we deserved at least a point,โ€ said Laudrup.

โ€œIf you look at the game, we knew the first 15 minutes were going to be tough because they had lost in the Champions League and wanted to show the crowd they could win.

โ€œBut I thought we had the best chance of the first half with Michu right before half-time.

โ€œAt half-time the crowd were very unhappy, so we knew it would be very difficult for us after the break.

โ€œThey put great pressure on us, but did not make any clear chances and after 10 minutes it went back to normal. The goal came out of nowhere, but it was a great shot from Tevez.

โ€œEven after the goal we were trying to score and I thought Joe Hart made a great save from Michu.

โ€œMaybe that is the difference between the top sides and everyone else โ€“ they only need to have one or two good chances and they take them.

โ€œNormally, we create six or seven chances, but today we only had two or three as we were playing the champions and unfortunately we could not take them.

โ€œI will have to see how people are after this game with regards to what team I play against Liverpool.

โ€œI know I have to make two changes because Michel is out and Angel (Rangel) is suspended.

โ€œMichel is a big blow for us because he is a very good goalkeeper who has been playing well, but that is part of football.

โ€œWhen you have lots of games you are always going to get injuries and suspensions.

โ€œThis gives a chance to Gerhard (Tremmel) and we have lots of confidence in him.

โ€œAs for Rangel, if that was a dive then weโ€™ve invented a new dive here. It was a very strange decision.

โ€œBut whatever team I put out on Wednesday will be competitive, because we want to do very well in the cup. We can reach the quarter-final if we win on Wednesday and we have never got that far.โ€
