The Swans head into the second leg against the Romanian cup holders almost certain to progress into the next stage of the competition and will await their fate when the draw is made for the group stages. They head to Romania with the same four goal cushion that they took to Sweden in the last round which proved to be more than enough in a dour second leg.

Michael Laudrup is again almost certain to ring the changes from the side that played on Sunday as he will have one eye on securing a first Premier League win of the season at West Brom this coming Sunday. Jordi Amat will definitely be in for the injured Ashley Williams whilst he will choose between Ben Davies and Jazz Richards at left back with the latter likely to get the nod for this particular game. Leon Britton will lead the side from midfield as captain and with Wilfrried Bony back in South Wales, Michu is almost certain to start up front.. Pozuelo’s performances in midfield from the bench are probably enough to give him a start in midfield as well playing behind Michu. Jonjo Shelvey is the third man left behind due to injury so Jose Canas and Jon De Guzman are likely to be in midfield although this could also be a chance for Ki to get a rare start in the team.

And while the Swans have a four goal lead heading into the tie, Laudrup is taking nothing for granted from the tie

“I have concerns, we will play against a team who have nothing to lose,” said the Dane. “They had a huge result go against them last week, losing 5-1.

“So they can just go out and take chances, go forward and try to get an early goal. So we have to be ready from the first minute, that is for sure.

“For a club like us, we want to go on in European competition, into the group stage, so we know we have a job to do.

“Winning 5-1 was a huge result, but once in a while there are miracles and they can happen if you do not have the right attitude.

“But I am confident we will be competitive and try to win the game, not just on aggregate but on the night.”

ITV did not secure the rights to show this game but Swans fans not in Romania can catch the coverage on S4C with kick off at 6.30pm.
