This effectively means the Swans will be the second ranked team in their group which increases their chances of progression into the last 32 of the competition. They will now be drawn with three other teams – one from each of Pot 1, 3 and 4 in the next stage of the competition although they are guaranteed to avoid Spurs as teams from the same association cannot be drawn with each other.

One lucky loser from the fourth qualifying round will be added back into the competition tomorrow after Fernabache were denied their place in the competition and there is still one match to be completed after the match between AZ Alkmaar and Atromitos was interrupted after 59 minutes because of a fire in the stadium. The remaining part of the match will be played on Friday
