The on loan Tottenham midfielder will be enjoying a run in the side this month thanks to the absence of Ki Sung-Yeung who is away at the Asian Cup. However, with the evidence of recent performances you would hope that the Swans are sitting up and considering a permanent move for the midfielder who signed on loan for the season towards the end of the summer transfer window.
Carroll’s signing was one of the surprise ones of the summer but it is paying dividends with the player showing a clear level of class in the middle of midfield and a composure that goes well beyond his years.

Carroll himself knows that he has a chance to shine this month and told the official site after yesterday’s game
“I think a draw was a fair result,” he said. “Both teams could probably have won it towards the end but we’re happy with a point.
“We would have been delighted with all three and we could have won it late on because we finished the game strongly.
“We believe we can beat anyone at home so once we got the equaliser we immediately thought about pushing on for a winner, but it wasn’t to be.
“I thought I did well, I got on the ball and tried to make things tick. The football Swansea plays really suits me and I’m enjoying it at the moment.
“I’ve come here to play games so hopefully I can stay in the team now and push on.”
