The Wales left back found himself back in the first team last season following the departure of Ben Davies for Spurs and his form earned him a new Swans deal earlier this week.
The Swans were in the hunt for a European place right up until the last two games of the season and they finished one place behind 7th placed Southampton who took the last place when Arsenal tore Aston Villa apart in last weekend’s FA Cup final.
Taylor faces a massive test next week when Wales face Belgium in Cardiff as they look to continue their quest for a place at next summer’s European Championship finals but his mind is already turning to the next Swans campaign and what could lie ahead for Garry Monk’s side.
รขโฌลWe have consolidated as a Premier League club since coming into the league, so hopefully we can enjoy a good cup run next season and get back into Europe,รขโฌย said Taylor.
รขโฌลWe had a taste of it before when we won the League Cup in 2013 and then played in the Europa League so we would like to try and experience that again and that would show the club is continuing to progress.
รขโฌลWe had a great season, finishing with a record number of points in the Premier League and we just missed out on qualifying for Europe.
รขโฌลIt will be difficult to go to that next level as the clubs above us will all spend money and get stronger so hopefully the club will back the manager in the transfer market so the manager can try and improve the squad.รขโฌย
