Swans And West Ham Target Ecuador Star

The report is stating that clubs from across Europe are watching Bolanos with Swansea and West Ham named as suitors from the Premier League, possibly because both already have an Ecuador international in their ranks rather than anything more concrete than that.

Jefferson Montero was without a doubt one of our star signings of last season with his pace and it would be brilliant to see him link for both club and country with a player who has impressed during Ecuador’s Copa America campaign that is currently going on.

He scored 24 goals in 48 games in the 2014 season for his club side Emelec and so far in the 2015 campaign he has 16 in 24, including six in nine Copa Libertadores appearances. He also has four goals in seven games for the Ecuador national team.

I have no idea of the validity of this transfer story it has to be said. On the face of it he does seem to be the kind of player that the Swans would be tracking but I think issues like a work permit may come into play here as well.

I have the feeling that this one is probably driven more by the fact that Montero is at Swansea and Valencia at West Ham but stranger things have happened.
