And he claims that his goal at Old Trafford – the first Premier League goal of last season – was the most important of the career and few can doubt that it was the perfect start to what turned out to be a record breaking season for the Swans.
It capped a remarkable turn around for the South Korean midfielder who was signed by Michael Laudrup at the start of the 2013/14 season but looked to be on his way out of the club when he spent most of the following term on loan at Sunderland.
Thankfully for us though the Swans refused to sell the star against the advice of their former boss and that allowed Garry Monk to get the best out of him last term around and there is much hope that we can get even more out of him next season.
