Bored Of Chico Now

I also realise that there is a massive dose of irony that there is an article here criticising media for giving airspace to the former player when that is exactly what is going on but this isn’t indulging Chico in the way that others are.

The number of publications that thought Chico taking a selfie at the altar was newsworthy twelve months after he left Swansea is mind blowing and then to see the Evening Post adding to that yesterday with some further pictures just makes me wonder just why.

Chico left this club last summer to continue his career elsewhere. For the two years he was here he was a good defender (nowhere near as good as Fernandez it should be noted) but he also blatantly embarrassed us at times with his play acting on the pitch.

That aside though once he has moved on I kind of get the stories about his football career which has some minor interest but I really don’t care for the fact that he got married or that he seems to think it makes him some kind of Hollywood celebrity.

Sorry to have to use the space on here to have to rant about the subject but surely I cannot possibly be the only person bored with the Chico Flores sideshow? We had a side that did better without him in the league and we have a squad that has the capability of surpassing that next season and that is far more important than Chico will ever be.

I’m out of here…

Swansea City: Andy Coleman has much to answer for right now
