Michu Could Return After All

The Swans confirmed a friendly against the Spanish side yesterday on August 1st and if the transfer progresses then Michu could return to the Liberty but in the opposing dressing room.

There has been talk that there was interest floating around from West Ham to keep him in the Premier league but I cannot see any side in this country taking a punt on him at this point in time – two years after they would probably have queued up to gain his signature.

So it does seem like a return to his native Spain is likely although there is also interest from the Middle East which is where another couple of Michael Laudrup’s Spanish imports ended up – Pablo Hernandez and Chico Flores.

Reports in Spain have him linked with Deportivo and for me that one is more likely as the player looks to kick start a career that was so promising two years ago and resulted in him earning his solitary Spanish cap

How ironic would it be if his first game for any potential new club though were to be in South Wales against his former employers and what kind of reception would he get?
