Crystal Palace Still Interested In Williams?

Williams – who has been at Swansea since 2008 – for me remains the lynchpin of the Swansea side and there is no reason we should consider selling him.

I am also a long way from being convinced that Ash wants to make a move away from Swansea where everything works for him, he has a good contract on a good salary and is captain of a Wales side that looks destined for France next summer.

The paper reports that Swansea value Williams at ร‚ยฃ12m but even at that price you have to ask the question as to what it would cost to replace him given his experience and international standing so it doesn’t appear to be good business on any front for us.

Of course I can see exactly why Palace would want Williams but this one for me I just cannot see happening.

We have had a fantastic summer so far in the transfer market and if there is genuine interest from other teams then we have to keep that brilliant summer going by keeping hold of WIlliams.

This should be easier if I am right and he doesn’t want to leave but this should be the time to sit down with Ash internally and confirm that is the case and just turn Palace down every time they come knocking
