The Swans now return to Wales after the two game tour which also saw them draw 1–1 with Bourissia Monchengladbach on Wednesday evening.
The Swans were ahead early when Cork finished well from a Matt Grimes corner but were pegged back in the second half when Ashley Williams was harshly adjudged to have fouled in the area.
But with a little over 15 minutes remaining in the game it was Gomis who proved to be the match winner when he turned his man having latched onto a Jay Fulton cross and he fired past Ortega into the back of the net.
The Swans did have the ball in the net once more before the game was finished after Ashley Williams finished a Kyle Bartley knock down but it was ruled out for offside.
The Swans now return here for away games against Reading and Nottingham Forest with Deportivo La Coruna the visitors to the Liberty Stadium two weeks today.
The Barclays Premier League season kicks off on August 8
