Tony died in hospital in North Wales yesterday morning having gone into hospital a fortnight ago.

Tributes were paid to him by Alan Curtis who said “He was a terrific goalkeeper and he really was very much a throwback of what the game was like in those days รขโ‚ฌโ€ funny people and characters.”

And former Vetch DJ Tony Wyn-Davies said “We were like brothers. It’s a great shock. His daughter phoned me and said it was very peaceful.

“He was a character and everybody that knew him, or saw him play thought he was a character.

“Everybody loved him รขโ‚ฌโ€ there’s not one single supporter I could say that didn’t love Tony, he really entertained the crowd.”

Everyone at Planet Swans would like to send their condolences to the Millington family on their loss but the name of Tony will live on with his name already on the Wall of Fame outside the Liberty Stadium
