Optimism Goes Or Is Realism The Order Of The Day?

There were only three answers that we put forward which were simply

* Better Than Last Season
* Same As Last Season
* Worse Than Last Season

Of course it is a slightly loaded question and the results can be read in several different ways when you think that 43% of people think that we will do worse that sounds quite bad but then when you rephrase it as 57% of people believe that we will do the same or better it sounds quite a positive result.

The one thing that we do know of course is that there is a tight line between anywhere around 6th-12th in the Premier League so certainly a league finish that is marginally worse than last season should not be seen as any form of disaster.

It would be extremely difficult to push on from where we ended last season but it is possible and certainly based on the opening day performance at Chelsea it is extremely possible.

But there’s certainly a clear divide in how the fans are thinking at the moment and that is evidenced in this set of poll results
