Ayew Focused On Newcastle And Beyond

Ayew scored the Swans first Premier League goal of the season and justified his reasoning why he picked Swansea in the summer ahead of the likes of Inter Milan and Roma.

The skill in which he dragged the ball back to completely take a defender out of the experience of John Terry showed just why the Swans were so keen to grab his signature this summer and also why there is so much hope resting on his shoulders of great things to come.

Ayew is also not just sitting back and lapping up the praise that saw him rank second in ESPN’s power play this weekend as the second most influential player across the countries they cover football.

The mind through of Ayew has already moved onto the next game which is against Newcastle at the Liberty this weekend รขโ‚ฌล“The goal was important and good for confidence but scoring is not my first job. The most important thing is to help the squad win.

รขโ‚ฌล“We had a good game on Saturday but we cannot get swollen-headed. Weรขโ‚ฌโ„ขre going to fight every game and get even better results.รขโ‚ฌย

So why did he choose Swansea this summer? As much as this is a wonderful football club there is little doubt that the names of Roma and Inter Milan are bigger in football but it has always been said that Ayew is not here for the money but for football reasons and he clearly was sold the Swansea philosophy well by the manager and Chairman back in the summer

รขโ‚ฌล“After I spoke to the coach and chairman, I felt like this was the right place to be. They are ambitious and so am I.

รขโ‚ฌล“Iรขโ‚ฌโ„ขve taken my decision and I know why Iรขโ‚ฌโ„ขm here. Hopefully we can continue to do well and it will be a great decision.รขโ‚ฌย
