Fabianski went into his second season at the Swans last weekend fresh from the first one where he was one of the stars of the show as the Swans beat many of those that came in front of them to secure their highest ever Premier League finish.
And whilst the squad has been added to this time around, most will recognise that it will be a challenge for the club to build on that and take themselves to the next level despite a brilliant start at Chelsea last weekend.
The Swans took the game to the Champions with a refreshing attitude that will have heightened belief that they could push on from last season and that is something that Fab is focused on
“There’s a little change in our approach, in our character, we don’t just want to be the team that hangs in there in the Premier League this season,†the keeper said.
“Maybe we are able to go for something more, and the great thing for us is that we haven’t lost anyone from the squad that achieved something nice last year.
“Hopefully we can build on that and get better.
“I just hope we can achieve something that will be another chapter in Swansea’s history.
“We went behind twice against Chelsea but never let it affect us, we still pushed for an equaliser, we wanted something more,†Fabianski added.
“We came back, which shows we have grown as a team in terms of confidence.
“The result says a lot about this team and the confidence we’ve got.
“This team has massive potential to go on and get a good result this year.
“Hopefully we can build on the Chelsea game and it will give us confidence against Newcastle.â€
