Home Comforts For Ayew

Ayew’s header yesterday against Newcastle was as composed as his finish at Chelsea last weekend and those goals – along with the same number from Bafetimbi Gomis – have lifted the Swans into the top end of the Premier League table again.

Ayew was a much sought after player during the summer but it was the appeal of the Swans that won his signature ahead of a host of other teams. It was a move that Garry Monk said was not money motivated which makes a real change for players in the current day and age.

And we can be grateful that the player chose us with much of the hype around his signature already coming true as he slots into the team and hits the ground running in the goal front.

He was of course delighted to have scored his first Liberty Stadium goal yesterday afternoon as he told the official website รขโ‚ฌล“The guys have really helped me settle, and I am happy to have scored in both games. Hopefully it continues like this, but the most important thing is that Swansea win.

รขโ‚ฌล“The team spirit is really good here. When you come from a different country, it is important that the guys help you, and that is what has happened for me here.

รขโ‚ฌล“I am really pleased to have played my first game at home in front of the fans. Hopefully we can achieve more victories to make them happy.รขโ‚ฌย
