Advocaat Pondering Sunderland Defensive Changes

The Swans head to the Stadium of Light on Saturday looking to heap more misery on the home side who many are already tipping as pretty much nailed on to drop into the Championship next season.

Such is the misery that they have experienced in the first two games of the season there are many that believe there is no coming back from the problems that exist at Sunderland that certainly seem to go far deeper than just poor form on the pitch.

The criticism that has been aimed at the team has certainly told us that and even Lee Catetrmole has come out and queried the commitment of some of the players.

Dick Advocaat is a manager under pressure as a result of that and he has hinted that there will be defensive changes ahead of the Swans visit this weekend

รขโ‚ฌล“I didnรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt want to change the back-line already after one game,รขโ‚ฌย said Advocaat.

รขโ‚ฌล“But at the moment, there are players playing who I canรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt understand why they are playing that way.

รขโ‚ฌล“I cannot understand it, honestly.

รขโ‚ฌล“But there must be a reason and I hope that they can tell me.

รขโ‚ฌล“I spoke to the players and told them that we like full-backs, who if the possibility comes, they go forward

รขโ‚ฌล“But Iรขโ‚ฌโ„ขve changed that. Iรขโ‚ฌโ„ขve now set up a different way.

รขโ‚ฌล“The first way for the back four is now defence.

รขโ‚ฌล“And then the opponent cannot get the kind of space they got at Leicester.”
