Billy Jones – Beating Swansea Would Be A Statement

Sunderland lie bottom of the Premier League after two games with a goal difference of minus 4 and no points to their name. And it is probably worse than that when you consider the mass exodus of their own fans on Saturday when they went 3-0 down to Norwich within an hour.

They have been widely criticised for not spending enough to be serious about staying in the Premier League and on and off the pitch they look like a club in trouble.

But that probably has to turn at some time and we can only hope it is not against us this weekend but Jones believes that is exactly what is needed for the club.

รขโ‚ฌล“The only way we can kick start it [our season] is by winning games and weรขโ‚ฌโ„ขve got a massive chance to do that against Swansea” said Jones.

“Obviously everyone knows what a good team Swansea are so thatรขโ‚ฌโ„ขll be a statement in itself to beat them on our home turf and beat them with a good performance.

รขโ‚ฌล“We know itรขโ‚ฌโ„ขs going to be a really tough game but weรขโ‚ฌโ„ขve got another week to work hard on the training, so hopefully we can put in a better performance on Saturday which gets us the three points”

Swansea City: Andy Coleman has much to answer for right now
