Eder Happy To Wait For His Chance

Gomis has scored in both the Swans games so far this season and will retain his place on the back of those performances leaving Eder to wait for his chance on the bench although he is expected to start against York in the Capital One Cup next Tuesday.

Garry Monk added the signature of Eder to his summer signing giving him a good option in the striking department which has been missing so often over the course of the past few years with a series of loan strikers never really pushing the likes of Graham, Michu or Bony.

The form of Gomis though could keep him on the bench for some time with the Swans striker now on a run of seven goals in his last eight games back into last season but that is not something that worries Eder who knows he just has to make sure that he is ready when the chance comes his way

“I train hard every day to make sure I’m an option,” he said.

“I will get my time and my opportunity.

“I think the Premier League will suit my style. I’ve been working hard to play and settle in.

“I always dreamed of playing in the Premier League. I’m happy to be here.”

It’s been good. I’m enjoying things and it’s been nice training with this team,” said Eder.

“We have been training very hard and that’s what we want. We have to make sure we use the things we’ve learned in the games.

“I used to watch the Premier League before I arrived and saw a lot of Swansea.

“They played very well and that’s one thing that made me want to come here.

“I saw them play against Arsenal and Manchester United. They were really good games.

“I already knew that Swansea had a lot of quality players before I arrived. We have a very good team with some real top quality.”
