A first half goal from Nathan Dyer and second half strikes from Matt Grimes and Marvin Emnes were enough to see the Swans go past their League Two opponents and earn themselves an away day at Hull in the next round.
It was a good result for the Swans when you consider that they made eleven changes from the side that started against Sunderland last weekend and it showed the strength in depth of this squad that we can make so many changes and yet still come through the game with ease.
Russ Wilcox though was not a happy man when he spoke to the press after the game รขโฌลIt was very harsh. You need everything to go your way when you come to a place like Swansea and their first goal should have been offside and the second was a big deflection.
รขโฌลBut the lads showed great character to get a foothold in the game after conceding such an early goal. We needed that bit of luck for the ball to go in when Bez hit the bar, then it would have been game on, but the positive was we created three or four good opportunities.
รขโฌลWeรขโฌโขve just got to be a bit more clinical, but the players and our fans, who didnรขโฌโขt stop singing from the first whistle, were an absolute credit to the football club.รขโฌย
