I have to say that when I read it yesterday I was less than convinced in the credibility of the story as we know that Manchester United are looking make more buys in the transfer window but not sure that Gomis will be that high up the list of targets for them.
We know that Gomis though is a man on form with four in four this season and ten in his last eleven in the Premier League but that still doesn’t mean that sides in the Champions League are about to come in and make a purchase.
The Swans are also in that lovely position that we do not need to sell anybody which is what Garry Monk was saying after yesterday’s 2-1 win at the Liberty ironically over Manchester United with Gomis scoring the winner.
Monk said: “The squad we have will be the squad we go forward with.
“I think you saw from the way they played against Manchester United how happy they are and how excited they are about being here.
“This is the squad I want to work with, and I am very, very sure that will be the way it is.”
