A win this afternoon would have secured Wales a place in next summer’s finals but there are more chances to secure that and even this evening it could happen should Belgium fail to win in Cyprus.
If Belgium do win then it is away to Bosnia and home to Andorra for Wales to get the points that they will need to end the years of hurt since we qualified for the 1958 World Cup.
Coleman though was definitely looking at the positives after the game when he spoke to Sky Sports “It was a frustrating day for us. Big compliment Israel played to us with the change in their normal formation
“We had 60% possession and enough chances to win, had we scored early it would have been different
“It was a great atmosphere again and four points from the two games, it is very much in our hands and other teams need to do their work to try and catch us.
“The lads were tired at the end, we made a few substitutions but we felt had we scored early they would have had to open up.
“The long trip and tough game in Cyprus has taken its toll but we have four more points from two games towards where we want to be.
“Lets see what comes out of the Cyprus and Belgium game, maybe one more point may be enough
“The effort though of the players was fantastic but had we not had that game three days ago I think we would have won this.
“The celebration was not to be today but sooner or later they will be celebrating”
