It has been a brilliant start to the season for the Swans with Garry Monk’s side unbeaten after four games and in a top four position attracting praise from many sections of the media.
In contrast it has been a testing start to the season for Watford with three draws and a defeat in their opening four games leaving them towards the bottom end of the Premier League and being tipped by many for an immediate return to the Championship.
The visit of the in form Swans then is probably not something they wanted to return to action with and Flores knows that his team are in for a tough time
“Swansea are a good team. We have been analysing them during the last week and they play good, they have a good balance in defence, and they manage their transitions,” he said.
“They are a tough team, of course, but we will always do our best and we know that we have the possibility to win this match.
“The start of the season is always a period when you have to establish what is the situation of the team, and I think we are going in the way we planned during the pre-season, nothing is different
“It’s difficult at the start of the season to play against Everton, Southampton and Manchester City, they are maybe three of the best teams in the league and their objective is to be near the top of the table.
“But we are being competitive, we play like a unit, like a block, like a collective, and for me this is a good reason to be happy.”
