The form of Shelvey has been brilliant since the turn of the year and some very public criticism from Swansea manager Garry Monk who said at last night’s fans forum that he had needed Shelvey to “grow up”
The criticism was followed by a suspension for Shelvey after the Swans were beaten at Liverpool but since returning from that suspension it has been an upward curve for the midfielder resulting in his recall to the England squad for the last two games.
His performances in those two games have done him no harm at all and he has been described in sections of the media as the future of England’s midfield which is perfect timing for Jonjo with the Euro 2016 finals around the corner next summer.
Monk though believes that we are yet to see the best of Shelvey “Everyone knows the ability Jonjo has got
