The Swans did keep a clean sheet although at times it felt like our goal led a charmed life as Everton were unable to convert some of their second half pressure into a lead whilst Bafetimbi Gomis and Jefferson Montero were both denied by good stops from Tim Howard as the Swans looked to return to winning ways.
It was a massive improvement in performance from the one that we saw last week at Watford and that was what was called for in the week and it was what was delivered by the Swans on the day.
It may not have matched the strongest performances of the season before the international break but we should take nothing away from this game given the fact it was against a side who have been in good form themselves.
Defensively wise we looked stronger as well which was pleasing, a point confirmed by left back Neil Taylor รขโฌลA clean sheet was important today
รขโฌลLast week was very unlike us, and the most important thing was the performance today.
รขโฌลOur performance compared to last week was much better, and there was some good defending from both teams.
รขโฌลI think a draw was a fair result. Both sides had good chances and good spells in the game.
รขโฌลIt was a hard-fought match, but in the end that bit of quality in front of goal was not there today for either side.”
