Planet Swans ArchivesIt is all well and good saying that though but what is really needed for the performances that are not good enough to be put behind us and show us next week on the pitch that we are capable of putting in a performance more in keeping with the first three weeks of the season rather than the last two.
That is the biggest challenge as we are on a run of four games without a win and with just one goal – Gylfi’s penalty – to show for that four game run as we have dropped from fourth in the table to the bottom half.
We cannot keep going on making excuses for performances that do not reach the standards because people will start believing this is the norm and the better performances are the occasional ones.
Sigurdsson scored his first goal of the season in the closing stages of the game at Southampton after his own disappointing start to the season and we have to hope that it is the kick start for his season too.
