When the Swans returned from the international break on September 12th, we were a side in the top four places of the Premier League and on the back of a win over Man Utd at the Liberty. Just two weeks later and we have scored one goal in four games and dropped down the league as well as being dumped out of the Capital One Cup.
It makes the heady days of August seem so long ago as we scratch around for a bit of form and know that our away performances against Watford and Southampton in particular have not been acceptable.
And that is a view shared by captain Ashley Williams รขโฌลWe are really disappointed. We didnรขโฌโขt do enough to get anything from the game
รขโฌลIt was a poor performance as a team รขโฌโ on and off the ball รขโฌโ so it was a disappointing day.
รขโฌลWe moved the ball slowly and didnรขโฌโขt play with any intensity or pace.
รขโฌลIn the second half we wanted a reaction and we conceded an early goal. We didnรขโฌโขt get going until the last 15 minutes.
รขโฌลIt hurts us more than anyone at the club. The boys were very down in the dressing room, as they should be.
รขโฌลWe are the ones that go out there and play, and even if we donรขโฌโขt perform we have to come out and speak (to the media) and face up to it.
รขโฌลWe put a lot of work in throughout the week in order to win this game, and when you donรขโฌโขt get the performance and result it hurts. The fans are disappointed, and so are we.
รขโฌลI understand we will lose games, but the manner in which we lost the game was disappointing. That wasnรขโฌโขt us out there today.
รขโฌลItรขโฌโขs all about showing the right attitude and training well in order for the next game รขโฌโ the senior boys will make sure of that.รขโฌย
