However, the Telegraph report that there could be interest from elsewhere as well with Champions Leicester City reportedly interested in the player as well as Roma and Inter Milan.
For what it is worth I cannot see the Swans wanting to sell Sigurdsson this January given how important his goals and general play are to us but there was always likely to be interest especially with the team struggling as we are at the bottom end of the table.
Everton were reportedly making bids for the player back in the summer although it never seemed to get any further than reported bids and the Swans have long since stated their desire to hold onto a player that we see as vital to our overall team make up.
The reported interest of Roma and Inter Milan maybe a different thing although there is nothing to suggest that this is anything other than press speculation but bids from Italy would potentially turn the player’s eye which would be bad news for us.
Sigurdsson would command a large transfer fee in today’s markets but it would be way beyond that for the Swans who would find it very hard to replace a player of his stature especially one who would be willing to join a relegation fight.
And on that basis no way should we consider selling. No way at all
