Rover’s relegation was sealed on the last day of the season when, despite a 3-1 win over Brentford, they fell another level thanks to results elsewhere.
And as his loan spell comes to an end and he wonders what the future holds Emnes was looking back on his time at Ewood Park declaring that they were too good to go down.
รขโฌลI appreciated the support from the fans and everyone around the club,รขโฌย he told Blackburn’s official website
รขโฌลI enjoyed my time at Blackburn Rovers from the first minute until the last.
รขโฌลIt was good to get some game time again and I have to thank Blackburn Rovers for that.
รขโฌลWe made it difficult for ourselves, as our squad was too good for what happened to us.
รขโฌลWe will see what the future brings, but again thank you for the support. The only way is up.รขโฌย
This one is quite simple for me – a side is never too good to be relegated and a league table at the end of the season will show what it needs to show in that the worst teams get relegated and the best teams win the leagues. It’s that simple and has always been so.
Emnes is out of contract at the Liberty this summer which probably means a four year deal in the offing (kidding!) and a permanent move to Blackburn I can see as something that could happen but please let that be the end of his time with Swansea, we need to move on from players of this quality
