I Cant See A Bony Return

And on that subject I also don’t subscribe to the rumours that suggest that Llorente will not be here as I just cannot see anyone moving for the player who is very much happy at Swansea as was clearly evidenced at the back end of last season.

The rumours of a move to Chelsea were never going to come through – the best that they would have ever decided would be a backup striker for their first choice and with Michy Batshuyai there and seemingly set to say then it was difficult to see whether they would have a need for Llorente.

So for me it follows that if Llorente is staying here and with backup provided by both Tammy Abraham and Jordan Ayew then any move for Bony would seem a little pointless and a big chunk of our transfer budget when there will be more pressing positions to fill.

The link is of course a natural one given his previous time here at Swansea and we should never forget that Bony is still our record transfer fee received although that seems set to be eclipsed this summer assuming that Sigurdsson moves to Everton.

Bony is a player who needs first team football to get the best out of him – his spell at Man City and Stoke highlights that perfectly and there is also links with Watford who supposedly see him as a replacement for Troy Deeney who is a target for Leicester City.

You have to love a transfer window and the fact that these links come up but for me I am certainly filing this one under not going to happen. Well not unless Llorente does leave which I am also filing under not happening!
