It was reported the other day that the Swans were at the stage of turning down a รยฃ45m deal for the player and are looking to hold out for a deal worth รยฃ50m but some of that will go to Spurs from whom the Swans secured his services three years ago.
The Times are reporting that whilst it was deemed to be a “nominal fee” that bought Gylfi back to the Liberty (Ben Davies and Michel Vorm went in the opposite direction) the North London side did negotiate a sell on clause that will see them benefit if the deal goes through as is expected.
I don’t think there are too many of us that are not expecting Gylfi to be an Everton player come the start of the season and we have long since pointed out the need to complete any deal as soon as possible so we can make a move on the replacements that we will be lining up.
But with Spurs now getting a pay day as well the transfer kitty is reduced a little no matter what the final fee is
