Hull manager Leonid Slutsky confirmed the club had received a bid for the player: “Yes. And now it’s a very difficult situation but we hope he will continue to play in the team because he’s a very important player for us, a key player.
“He’s continuing to play in the team but also I need to be realistic in the situation so I don’t know.”
It makes a little of a refreshing change to see that the Swans are linked with players who haven’t played here before with other links being to Joe Allen and Wilfried Bony as well as Nacer Chadli who was a target twelve months ago before joining West Brom.
Clucas is contracted at Hull until 2019.
