O’Neill waiting on injury hopes

The last time the Swans played at the Bet365 Stadium we were beaten 2-0 by Stoke thanks to goals from our former midfielder Sam Clucas and the ever popular James McLean.

Neither of those two will be available to Michael O’Neill tomorrow as the Stoke boss prepares to welcome the Swans to Stoke looking to half a run of form that has seen them lose contact a little with the play off places in the Championship.

O’Neill is also waiting on news of Steven Fletcher who he hopes will be available for selection tomorrow night.ย  The veteran striker missed the midweek trip to Brentford but has scored eight times so far this season hence the desire for O’Neill to be able to select him tomorrow.

โ€œSteven has trained today and hopefully he will not suffer a reaction and will fit and be available to figure tomorrow night,” the Stoke boss said at his press conference on Tuesday.

โ€œWeโ€™ve seen what Steven can bring to our team. Heโ€™s unfortunately had a bit of a stop start season with injuries.”

The game tomorrow evening kicks off at 8.15pm.
