The Swans are clearly getting themselves a reputation as penalty specialists after a fourth penalty in as many games last night with each of them being converted by leading scorer Andre Ayew.

After the drama of last minute penalties giving us a win in the previous two games over Stoke and Middlesbrough it was the relative calm of the 41st minute last night when Jay Fulton was felled in the box and the referee had little hesitation in pointing to the spot.

It seemed much more clear cut than maybe either of the decisions against Stoke or Middlesbrough but it was still a decision that attracted comment after the game particularly from Blackburn right back Joe Rankin-Costello who said after the game.

โ€œI think theyโ€™ve had three penalties in their last three games, so they have a knack of getting them. It was clever from their lad in the box.

โ€œWe can take positives from the way we played, how we performed and how we kept the ball against a good side.

โ€œThere were a few times where things didnโ€™t go our way on the night.

โ€œTheyโ€™re second in the league though and weโ€™ve shown we can compete with them and be better than them at times”
