Swansea City Ladies retained their 2 point lead at the top of the table as they reached the halfway point of their season with a 100% record thanks to a 2-0 win at Abergavenny this afternoon.

Chloe Chivers grabbed a goal in either half, the first from the penalty spot to secure the points and the hosts missed a penalty as the Swans kept a seventh clean sheet in those eight games as they keep on in what seems a relentless march to retain their league title.

Cardiff Met’s 3-0 win against Aberystwyth kept up the pressure on the Swans but with our game in hand we could find ourselves five points clear come the end of the week.

It was another deserved win for the Swans and as skipper Alicia Powe said after the game β€œIt was a great three points to get. We created really good chances going forward and the girls finished it off.”

Was involved with the Swans Supporters Trust from 2005, for the large part as Chairman before standing down in the summer of 2020.
