Brentford will await the winners of tonight’s second leg at the Liberty after they secured a second successive Championship play off final after disposing of Bournemouth over two legs.

Going into today’s second leg at the Brentford Community Stadium they were dealt an early blow when Danjuma doubled Bournemouth’s advantage in the 6th minute.

But an Ivan Toney penalty levelled the scores on the day and Bournemouth were handed a numerical disadvantage when Chris Mepham was shown a straight red card before the half hour mark.

Two goals in the second half from Vitaly Janeith and Marcus Fross rewarded Brentford for what was a dominant performance as Bournemouth looked to sit back and try and force the game into extra time and maybe penalties but it was not meant to be.

Brentford will now await the rest of the day’s action to find out their opponents for next Saturday and will be looking to avenge last year’s final defeat where they were beaten by Fulham.
