You can love him or loathe him.ย  It seems that most football fans across the Championship loathe him but Brentford fans, and the media in general, seem to love him as Thomas Frank led Brentford to the Premier League with a 2-0 win over the Swans at Wembley yesterday.

Frank won the play off final at the second attempt and became the manager who led Brentford to a successful play-off campaign at the 10th attempt for the club.

He told the listening media soon after the game yesterday that he was off to get ‘incredibly drunk’ before thinking about the Premier League today but that was after he reflected on his achievement of being the first man to lead the Bees into the Premier League.

“We are an example to follow for so many clubs around the world,” said Frank, who was appointed boss in 2018.

“I’m so pleased and proud to be part of this journey. There should be a lot of clubs out there dreaming.

“The journey the club has been on is remarkable. Credit to Matthew Benham. If you work hard, anything is achievable.”
