Has Cooper had two Crystal Palace interviews?

Less than 72 hours after the play off final defeat against Brentford and Steve Cooper’s post match comments that suggested he knew his time at Swansea was up there are reports today that he has held two rounds of talks already with Crystal Palace.

Whilst a likely move from the Premier League club for Cooper seems increasingly likely it would be deeply disappointing if the build up to the play-off final was disrupted with the talks taking place around that preparation.

According to a report this morning on Football Insider “It is understood the Eagles have held two rounds of talks with the Swans boss as they narrow down their options.”

Lots of speculation on the future of Steve Cooper but is he staying or going?

Cooper made comments almost immediately after Saturday’s defeat that suggested his exit from the Liberty was close when he talked about “the two years being the best of his life” without suggesting at the same time that there was more to come.

Palace are also being linked with a move for Sean Dyche at Burnley and Eddie Howe who looked set to move to Celtic before talks broke down last week.

The publication also reports that the Swans defeat on Saturday could make the move to Palace smoother and, as speculation increases, it seems more likely that the Swans will shortly be embarking on a manager hunt of their own.
