The dust has barely settled on the play-off finals weekend but all 24 clubs who will compete in next season’s Championship are now known following Blackpool’s promotion on Sunday and, of course, our defeat on Saturday.

The EFL fixture release day has now been confirmed as June 24th at 9am whilst the new season will get underway officially on Saturday 7 August although it will be almost certain that Sky Sports will use the evening of Friday 6 August to show the 1st of their 138 live games for next season.

The following midweek sees the start of the Carabao Cup that has a final date confirmed as Sunday 27th February whilst the league season in the Championship is scheduled to end on the weekend of 7th/8th May 2022.

The play off final will again bring down the curtain on the Championship season with a scheduled date of Sunday 29th May.

FA Cup dates for the new season are yet to be confirmed.
