West Ham United and Cabango – reports suggest interest…

A “former West Ham employee” has suggested that West Ham are considering a move for the Swans Welsh international defender Ben Cabango in the summer transfer window.

According toย ThisisFutbolย “ExWHUemployee has been speaking on theย latest edition of The West Ham Way podcast about West Ham Unitedโ€™s interest in Ben Cabango.”

Ex told the podcast Ex said: โ€œTheyโ€™ve actually been showing some interest โ€“ and this is a new name linked to the club โ€“ in a guy called Cabango of Swansea. Now, heโ€™s only 21, Welsh international. Heโ€™s shown a lot of potential; he played in the play-off final.โ€

Now with the greatest of respect to “Ex employee” it is very unlikely that transfer targets are discussed widely within a club let alone with the kind of people who are likely to trot off and tell podcasts exactly what the transfer plans are for the summer window.

There will be little doubt that Cabango’s performances will have seen people sit up and take notice over the past 12 months but until this comes from a more reliant source in terms of news then I think it is probably fair to dismiss it at the moment as nothing more than fans discussing things on a podcast – exactly what it says on the tin.
