Cooper “Extremely Likely” to go to Fulham amidst Crystal Palace panic?

You’d hate to be a Crystal Palace fan right now.ย  Well, to be fair you would probably hate to be one most of the time but just as Steve Cooper is believed to be at the top of the list of their managerial targets, it is being reported that he is “extremely likely” to take over at Fulham as they prepare to see Scott Parker go to Bournemouth.

Reports over the weekend suggested that Cooper was back on the list for Palace who have been turned down by two first choice targets and it was also reported that he was now in talks with the Premier League side over taking over.

But is it possible that there is another twist in the tale as the reports emerge this evening that he is also at the top of Fulham’s list.

Rich Cawley is a journalist in the South London Press and he tweeted this evening

Jonathan Woodgate has already confirmed he is leaving Bournemouth and saidย โ€œIt was a real experience for me personally and I canโ€™t thank the staff who were absolutely incredible and the people of the town enough for the support they gave me.

โ€œIโ€™d also like to thank the players for all their hard work. They were a great group to work with and it was gutting how the season ended for us all. They deserved better than how it ended at Brentford.”

Parker is expected to be confirmed as the new Cherries boss this week and will move with several of his backroom staff leaving the path clear for Cooper – along with Mike Marsh – to move to Fulham and potentially leave Palace looking for another first choice in their never ending hunt for a new manager.

Thankfully from our point of view it seems as if this whole mess will come to a conclusion this week and then we can start on the discussion points about who will be the next Swans manager although early suggestions do not fill us with much glee or excitement on that front.ย  But that’s for another day!
