According to reports from the Daily Mail Burnley are lining up a potential move for the Swans Welsh international right back Connor Roberts.

The paper suggests that Burnley had considered Everton’s Jonjoe Kenny but state that Roberts could prove a cheaper option.

Roberts was always likely to be one of the key targets this season for other clubs and also one of the club’s assets that we could look to cash in on, using the funds to strengthen the squad in other areas.

With news this morning that we could be looking at a move for Tottenham’s Timothy โ€œTJโ€ Eyoma – a right back – then it does suggest that the Swans were anticipating a move for Roberts this summer.

Roberts scored for Wales in their win over Turkey at this summer’s European Championships but made an early exit with a groin injury as we crashed out of the tournament last Saturday against Denmark.

Roberts has made more than 150 appearances for the Swans scoring 11 goals.
