Jamal Lowe a target for Anderlecht?

There are some things that you probably don’t expect to read and a link between Jamal Lowe and Anderlecht over a potential transfer is probably one of them and I mean that with no disrespect to either player or club.

I think where that view comes from is that Lowe is not one of the players I expected to be linked with a move away from the Swans this summer.

But a report this morning viaย Football League Worldย has suggested that the Belgian club is very much keen on both Lowe and Antoine Semenyo from Bristol City.

Semenyo is a bright talent at Ashton Gate, and once he returns from injury he could figure regularly for the Robins, though he has courted plenty of interest already this summer and Anderlecht are now looking keen to try and get him.

The report says “Football League Worldย understands, though, that Anderlecht are keen on bringing in both attacking players to add to their final third โ€“ though it remains to be seen if they manage to get one, both or neither in the coming weeks of the window.

“Anderlecht narrowly missed out on European football last season in the Belgian league and may feel this pair could be what returns them to the continental table.”

Lowe was the Swans second leading scorer last season as we reached the play off final and he also made a scoring debut on the international stage for Jamaica during the season.ย  Russell Martin would no doubt be keen not to lose a key member of his squad although it would certainly increase his desire to bring a proven goal scorer to the club.
