First reports of the morning suggest that Blackburn Rovers have turned their attention elsewhere in the search for a striker with Football Insider stating that it is the Swans price tag that have put off the Lancashire club.
It was only yesterday that the first reports surfaced of a move for the striker who has also been linked with a move to Anderlecht during this window but this morning the publication stated “Rovers were interested in signing the 27-year-old before the close of the transfer window, but Swanseaโs price tag has put them off.”
The discussion yesterday was that a deal was being suggested at being worth ยฃ1.5m for the Swans although – as some rightly pointed out – at that fee it would be a snip for a player who scored many goals at this level last time around.
The Swans clearly felt the same and it seems now – assuming the reports are right – that Blackburn will look elsewhere and Lowe potentially could still be a Swans player at the end of the day.
