Sometimes it is the same old names that come around on transfer deadline day and it is now being reported that Southampton striker Michael Obafemi is back on the Swans radar with a permanent deal in the offing.

The Swans were close to landing Obafemi in the January window but it fell through when he got injured and we were linked with him earlier this summer when Southampton were speculated to be linked with a move for Matt Grimes.

Now it seems that the Swans are targeting a late move for him in this window with Wales Online reporting that a permanent deal is in the offing if the Swans and the Saints can get a deal over the line.

With Jamal Lowe likely to move to Bournemouth, attacking options are needed at Swansea and as someone who has long term interested us then a move for Obafemi makes sense in a lot of ways.
